Meet Dr. Barton
Dr. Barton graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry. He is married to Lauren Barton, MD and has 3 adult children.
Dr. Barton opened a private dental practice located in Northeast Detroit and continues to provide service to the community for over 30 years.
Dr. Barton believes patient education and preventive maintenance are the keys to a healthy smile and overall dental health . Patient education involves teaching patients the proper way to maintain their dental health through proper oral hygiene, understanding the causes of dental diseases and how they can be prevented.
Dr. Barton is excited to also offer nutritional counseling at his clinic and has incorporated into the patient educational experience. Many of the health problems and dental diseases are directly related to nutritional and life style habits. INSURANCE PLANS WE RECOGNIZE
Our Dental Clinic does not accept any HMO dental insurance. Currently we are not accepting any new Adult Medicaid Clients.
We accept Cigna, Metlife, Aetna, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Healthy Kids Medicaid and hundreds of other dental medical insurance.
Delta Dental Insurance
Delta Dental is part of the Delta Dental Plans Association, a network of companies that provides dental coverage to 74 million people in the U.S. Delta Dental of California, Delta Dental of New York, Inc., Delta Dental of Pennsylvania and Delta Dental Insurance Company, together with our affiliate companies, form one of the nation’s largest dental benefits delivery systems, covering 33 million enrollees. All of our companies are members, or affiliates of members, of the Delta Dental Plans Association, a network of 39 Delta Dental companies throughout the country. Blue Cross Blue Shield
Blue Cross Blue Shield provide dental coverage for all age. Provide dental coverage just for members who are age 18 or younger when the plan starts. You do need to live in Michigan at least six months of the year to be eligible for a Blue Dental plan. (More Information can be found on their website)

MetLife’s Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans feature the MetLife Preferred Dentist Program, which save you money on dental services. You can choose from thousands of participating general dentists and specialists nationwide.
